How to Spring Clean Your Bedroom
Identify the things that don’t belong in the bedroom.
Our bedroom often becomes a dumping ground when we’re in a rush.First, identify what items do not belong there — items like kids toys, office papers, dishes, or midnight snacks.
Browse through your belongings.
Do you really need that chair in your room, which you only use to dump your clothes on? Sarah Giller Nelson, a professional organiser, says, “Chairs in a bedroom are magnets for clutter.” If you must keep a chair, use hangers or a hook behind a door or closet to hang your clothes. Throw out everything else that you no longer use or need.
Use containers to keep your trinkets.
Have a bunch of keys, loose change, rings, or makeup lying around on your dresser? Get little containers for those items. You could also recycle old bowls, trays, or small boxes in your house and use them as a container as well.
Clean your bed.
