1: Childs Pose – Balasana - Helps to calm the mind and relieve tension in the body with long deep breaths.
2: Plow Pose – Halasana - Yoga Journal recommends staying in the plow pose for one to five minutes to fall asleep easier
3: Legs Up the Wall- Viparita Karani - performed on a wall is excellent for evening relaxation and stress relief. Recommend to “lay for as long as 5 minutes, with the eyes closed to calm the nerves.”
4: Supine Spinal Twist - Twists are a great way to decompress and squeeze out the anxiety and frustrations of your day — just like wringing out a sponge. They also stimulate and detoxify the organs of your torso.
5: Reclining Butterfly - Supta Baddha Konasana - The reclining butterfly can help the body get into rest mode. Breathe deeply observing the breath moving fluidly in and out of the body.
